HARRINGTON GROVE GOES WEST WITH NEW RELEASE: LAURINA

Harrington Grove is excited to announce the big move west! The release of Laurina represents the first activity in the western side of Harrington Grove, which is located west of The Northern Road and south of Cobbitty Road.

THE BIG DAY - HARRINGTON FUN RUN

THE BIG DAY - HARRINGTON FUN RUN

Now that the Fun Run is almost here, you should be pulling back on training to maintain your energy levels for Sunday. A lot is written about the food you should eat before a run. In the lead up choose plenty of low GI carbs foods, such as whole-grain pasta, brown rice, vegetables and multigrain bread.

The night before, make sure you get a good night’s sleep, drink plenty of water and avoid caffeine.

In the morning before the run try to have a light breakfast 60 to 90 minutes before your start time. Choose high-energy, easy-to-digest foods such as toast, fruit, cereal or a skim-milk banana smoothie.

HOW TO RECOVER FROM A HICCUP IN TRAINING

HOW TO RECOVER FROM A HICCUP IN TRAINING

Consistently training four to five times a week can be a big ask with everyone already so busy with family, home and work life. So you may have hit a point where you’ve skipped a few sessions, perhaps illness has prevented you from training this week or even the weather – especially since these winter mornings can be cold and it’s dark by 5pm.

But even if you’ve had a break or can’t get outside to train, all is not lost.

Indoor options

On a cold, wet or windy day, visit the gym for a treadmill workout. Alter the speed and incline to a challenging pace and intensity.

SELECTING THE RIGHT VENUE FOR YOUR CORPORATE FUNCTION

SELECTING THE RIGHT VENUE FOR YOUR CORPORATE FUNCTION
CHAMBER-Presentation

Selecting the right venue is one of the most important decisions you’ll make when planning your next corporate event. Get it wrong and your boss and colleagues won’t be happy. But get it right and you’ll be the creative genius who selected the perfect venue for the perfect work event.

Harrington Grove Country Club has put together a checklist of what you should look for in a venue for your next corporate function or conference.

  1. Capacity
Know how many attendees you are expecting at your corporate function and don’t settle for a venue that can’t accommodate.

  2. Room set up
How do you need your room set up – theatre style, classroom, cocktail boardroom, banquet? The capacity of the room will change depending on your set up, so know what you need first and check that the venue can accommodate your needs.

  3. Access
Ensure the facility is easily accessible for your delegates, including special considerations such as wheelchairs. Parking or public transport can also be important. Ask whether there are any parking restrictions, cost for parking etc.

  4. Audio visual requirements
Will your event use a lot of technical audio-visual? If so, what is the in-house support for AV during the event?  There is nothing worse than delegates waiting around as the presentation isn’t working. Also, can you darken the room for the presentation and then open it up for drinks and dinner?

  5. Food and beverage packages
Long after the event, most people will talk about two things – the location and the food. Check the catering at the venue, request a tasting of the sample menu or even request a menu to be designed around your theme or event style. Also, drinks packages are usually available, but work out the best cost structure for your event.

Harrington Grove Country Club is an exquisite Sydney event venue catering for corporate functions, business meetings, conferences and special events in the Macarthur area.

Fresh Fillet of Premium Salt Water Barramundi from Cone Bay, WA

Cone Bay Saltwater Barramundi exhibit characteristics like no other barramundi in the world. This is, quite simply, because there is no other location like Cone Bay in the world. The extremely remote island sits amid the world-renowned Buccaneer Archipelago, comprised of some 1100 picturesque and unspoilt islands. A twice daily racing tide ranging between seven and eleven metres rips through the bay meaning that Cone Bay Barramundi are always at work.  This results in an animal that is terrifically robust and, externally, in absolutely brilliant condition.
