ANOTHER RACING SUCCESS AT HARRINGTON GROVE

Melbourne Cup 2014 was celebrated in lavish style at Harrington Grove Country Club.

Guests were greeted with a glass of bubbles and tantalising canapés that included smoked salmon with sour cream and chives on potato blinis, marinated pork belly with caramelized pineapple and mini brushetta on sourdough. They were then treated to a two-course meal; mains included alternate lamb rack and salmon fillet, and the dessert was a tantalising choice between lime tart and white chocolate mousse that was specially designed for the day.

The big screen created a buzzing atmosphere and enthralled all of the guests (the successful punters as well as those who were less fortunate). The event, hosted by MC Captain Pat from C91.3, included lucky door giveaways and prizes for Fashions in the Field for Best Dressed / Hat / Suit (prizes were kindly donated by Sarita’s A Collective Emporium, Perfection Hair by Angela Parras and Harringtons Bar + Grill). Guests also went into the draw to win a night in an executive King Room at Rydges Campbelltown, so those who may not have chosen their bets quite so wisely were still in with a chance to win something!

While geographically distant, the class, glamour, style and fascinators of Flemington weren’t in fact all that far away from the Harrington Grove Country Club on 4 November, when Harrington Grove proved itself yet again as the ideal place to be for the race that stops the nation.
