Celebrating exotic spices with Moroccan dishes added to the Harrington’s Menu

Harringtons Bar and Grill continue to deliver a fresh and innovative menu with this month’s the addition of several Moroccan spice inspired Dishes.

Preserved lemons are a key ingredient in many Moroccan tagine recipes, and our chefs have incorporated these flavours beautifully into new entrees and mains.

A delicious entrée to start with is the new Moroccan Prawns, cooked in Moroccan spices and served with preserved lemon, chickpeas , cherry tomatoes and Pane Di Casa. This dish can be cooked Gluten Free if required.

Our main menu includes two new tagine dishes encompassing the spices and flavours of Morocco. The Lamb and Prune Tagine is certainly a traditional North African flavour that celebrates succulent lamb shanks while the Chicken Tagine highlights the preserved lemon and spices that make this style of cooking desired.

Cooking tagine style is similar to slow cooking. The tagine's conical shape makes a uniquely moist, hot cooking environment for the dish being cooked. The base is wide and shallow, and the tall lid fits snugly inside. As the food cooks, steam rises into the cone. It condenses then trickles down the sides back into the dish.
To accompany the exotic new Moroccan inspired dishes, Harringtons have a new side dish of Tumeric and Cumin Chat Potatoes which have a delightful crust of Moroccan flavour.
