Harrington Grove: The Epitome Of Liveability

Residents already agree that Harrington Grove is a magical place to live but the most recent award provides even stronger evidence. Harrington Grove has been named the best Masterplanned Community in NSW (2016) by the UDIA NSW | Meriton Awards for Excellence. The award recognises masterplanned developments that are self-sufficient and offer high standards of design. But most importantly, it is the sense of place and range of community facilities that are most sought in awarding this title.

This complements Harrington Grove’s award for Australian Residential Development of the Year (2014). The judges for that year’s Urban Development Institute of Australia Awards for Excellence noted the holistic approach and respect for the natural environment in Harrington Grove.

“The judges were particularly impressed by the overall quality of the development and attention to detail in every facet of the project. The restoration of bushland and creek lines and their integration with the residential precincts is exemplary," stated the award notes by the judges.

Harrington Grove, which also won the NSW/ACT award for Residential Development of the Year in 2013, has been setting new standards since the very beginning. That’s because the vision behind this state-of-the-art Macarthur estate has focused on planning every aspect of it with just one aim in mind: to ensure that it enhances the lives of residents.

The world-class Harrington Grove Country Club, combined with an active program of community events such as fun runs and high teas, produce vigorous interaction of the community within the estate.

A full list of activities on landmark calendar dates such as Easter, Christmas, Australia Day, and Anzac Day are very much part of life in Harrington Grove. Interaction between the residents has been further enhanced by two high quality neighbourhood centres - Magnolia Club and Michelia Club (which is starting construction soon) - which add substantial value to the experience of living in such a well thought-out estate as Harrington Grove.

Building Guidelines ensure that high quality design is uniformly maintained throughout the estate, while providing variety to avoid a look that borders on being dull and boring in any way.

As part of its vision, Harrington Grove was also designed so the homes become an elemental part of the natural environment. Each precinct area is designed to take the fullest advantage of the natural bushland surroundings, with streets, homesites, and house designs offering bushland views and immediate access to the extensive pathways and bike paths that wind through the bushland areas.

All Harrington Grove precincts are adjacent to corridors of native bushland, providing each one with its own unique bushland setting. Links between the precincts by a network of paths provide the community with the opportunity to experience and value the bushland.

Combine all this and the end result is Harrington Grove, a great place to live. The epitome of liveability.
