HARRINGTON GROVE NAMED BEST MASTER-PLANNED COMMUNITY IN NSW
Harrington Grove was honoured to be named the Best Master-Planned Community NSW at the 2016 Urban Development Institute of Australia (UDIA) NSW / Meriton Awards for Excellence.
Harrington Grove is a low-density residential development in south-west Sydney with a strong community ethos at its core. It contains discrete housing precincts within a bushland setting. Each precinct comprises of large lots ranging from 700m² to 1000m².
The development and maintenance of a strong, rich, and active community is pivotal to Harrington Grove. As such, residents have access to high quality amenities including the Harrington Grove Country Club, two swimming pools, four tennis courts, a gymnasium, barbecue and picnic areas, playgrounds, function rooms, an outdoor amphitheatre and an extensive network of cycleways and pathways. A Community Liaison Team also coordinates a lively calendar of events for the enjoyment of residents of all ages throughout the year, further nourishing the spirit of kinship.
Terry Goldacre, Harrington Estates' Managing Director, says "The residents are at the centre of every development, and it is very humbling to receive an award that recognises that. With the help and cooperation of Camden Council, NSW government, local MP Chris Patterson and Mayor Lara Symkowiak, we have laid the foundations for an exceptional community and believe that Harrington Grove truly is the best place to call home."
In presenting the award to Harrington Grove the judges noted the holistic approach and respect for the natural environment. "The judges were particularly impressed by the overall quality of the development and attention to detail in every facet of the project. The restoration of bushland and creek lines and their integration with the residential precincts is exemplary," they said.
In 2014, Harrington Grove was awarded the UDIA's National Development of the Year Award.
